How you can help

South Canterbury business directory

Check out the awesome local businesses on the South Canterbury business directory.

If you have to spend money, consider spending it locally first to help these businesses navigate through these unprecedented times.

Support local first.

Shop online or over the phone

Not all businesses have a website or online store, but that doesn't mean they can't arrange your purchase over the phone.

If you need to buy something, get in touch with a local business first to see if they can help.

Purchase vouchers to use later

Most businesses offer vouchers and gift cards.

Purchasing a voucher to use at a later date can help with short-term cashflow.

You can purchase restaurant and cafe vouchers from home using SOS Cafe, or just leave them a donation,

Check to see if your favourite businesses sell vouchers via their online stores, or try phoning them.

Share the love

Be sure to follow and support local businesses on social media.  Engage with and share their posts with your own networks.

Help them tell their stories by sharing your experiences and tagging them.  Word of mouth and testimonials are more important now than ever.

When it comes to social media - engagement equals free advertising - like, comment on, and share local businesses posts.
