Survivor Girl Ukulele Band

Crown Heritage Hotel, Geraldine, South Canterbury
Healing & restoring victims of sexual trafficking through music and love. Laurie Kallevig will talk about her work in Kolkata with The Survivor Girl Ukulele Band.

A public talk (with ukulele).

Laurie says:
I believe music can be a powerful tool in restoring wholeness and building hope for the future. But my main goal is to show them love that I carry from God and from my friends and family who support me in this endeavor. The ukulele is fabulous little vehicle I use to deliver that love...

It’s my hope and prayer that the time we share together and the skills they have gained in learning to make music with the ukulele will have dividends of joy and fun and hope and healing for years and years to come.

I also hope that the project creates more awareness that may lead to action and activism and powerful legislation against of the world-wide plague of human trafficking.

The recently released Survivor Girl Ukulele Band CD will be available. Offerings to support Laurie’s work will be gratefully received.
