Barker’s of Geraldine is still on a corner of the original family farm, nestled in the picturesque South Canterbury town of Geraldine. The farm sits in the lea of the Four Peaks mountain range, beside the Te Moana River and surrounded by rolling pastures.
The farm is now a thriving business, making world class jams, chutneys, syrups and condiments. Barker’s supports the local community employing over 200 local people, and always buys local produce whenever possible.
Barkers Foodstore and Eatery - opening September 2019
September 17th 2019 sees the opening of the Barker’s Foodstore and Eatery located in the former grounds of St Marys Vicarage in Geraldine. It is a purpose-built landmark foodstore and eatery with an innovative fresh menu using the ingredients from Barkers of Geraldine and Barkers Professional Ranges, complimented by a selection of local New Zealand Artisan products. Couple that with a shop selling the whole the ‘Barkers of Geraldine’ range, plus some interactive activities with the brand, definitely a destination not to be missed.
