Top-notch brunch spots in Timaru
Arthur Street Kitchen
Another great spot for brunch is Arthur Street Kitchen.
The waffles are a great way to start the day – as is their occasional breakfast bacon, egg and hash brown panini on homemade sourdough. Yum.

Fusion Restaurant and Café
Fusion’s an excellent pick for brunch, but get here before midday to order from the breakfast menu.
You won’t want to miss out on the delicious French toast (it’s served with blueberry compote, bacon, banana, yoghurt and salted caramel) or their ever-popular eggs benedict.
You’re in for a treat with Fusion’s breakfast ratatouille too. A top-notch brunch spot overlooking stunning Caroline Bay.
Where: 64 The Bay Hill
The Oxford Restaurant, Bar and Brasserie
If you love eggs, the Oxford is your brunch spot of choice.
Here they serve them anyway – with bacon, sausage and black pudding. There’s eggs benedict, eggs Montreal and eggs Florentine.
Weekend brunch is served from 9.30am to 3pm – so you can take your time.
Where: Cnr Stafford & George Streets
The Shearer’s Quarters
A little further out of town in Seadown is a rustic cafe called The Shearer’s Quarters.
Brunch is served until 11am and includes fluffy pancakes and a big brunch dish known as the Shearer’s Breakfast (bacon, sausages, tomatoes, mushrooms, hash browns, eggs and toast).
With plenty of farm animals and outdoor activities galore, it's a great place for kids.
